Dietrich scores podium in Lincoln’s Ice Breaker, back to the Pigeon Hills March 7-8

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (March 2, 2026) - Despite Mother Nature stepping in and ruining all hope for a two-day Lincoln Speedway Ice Breaker, the first day of competition - Saturday, February 28 - went on as planned, officially activating the 2026 Pennsylvania sprint car season, and with a full house in attendance.
In traditional fashion, “Double-D” Danny Dietrich, the reigning Central Pennsylvania Sprint Car Series champion, joined in on the Ice Breaker program, capping the afternoon blockbuster with a runner-up result to Chase Dietz. Dietrich, driver of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Speedway Volkswagen & Subaru, Self Made Racing, York Excavating, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, RV 4 Wheel Drive & Performance, No. 48 sprint car, kicked-off the Ice Breaker lidlifter with a heat race win, helping the Gettysburg ace to line up fourth for the afternoon’s 30-lapper.
“It was a pretty solid afternoon at Lincoln. Just super grateful to see so many fans pack the place,” Dietrich said. “I think we had a car good enough to win. Just needed to be a little stronger in certain parts of the race. The plan is to head back to Lincoln this Saturday and Sunday and give it another go.”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2026 season with another trip to the Pigeon Hills, visiting Lincoln Speedway on Saturday and Sunday, March 7-8.
