Double-D eyes big week with Outlaws in Posse Country

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (May 4, 2026) - For much of the sprint car racing world, all eyes will be on Central Pennsylvania, and Gettysburg’s own Danny Dietrich will be in on the action, set to join the Greatest Show On Dirt in Series visits to Lincoln Speedway and Williams Grove Speedway on Tuesday, May 5, and Friday and Saturday, May 8-9, respectively. The World of Outlaws will invade Central Pennsylvania on multiple occasions in 2026, all of which culminating with Williams Grove’s World of Outlaws National Open in early October.
Dietrich, the ace of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Speedway Volkswagen & Subaru, Self Made Racing, York Excavating, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, RV 4 Wheel Drive & Performance, No. 48 sprint car, is certainly no stranger to World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series competition, and will roll into the week fresh off of a podium run at BAPS Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 3. “Double-D” finished second in his podium appearance, simultaneously bumping his overall top-five count to 10 on the season - two of which concluding in victory lane.
As expressed, Dietrich is no stranger to action with the Greatest Show On Dirt, earning five-career victories with the Series, his most recent in a Touring debut at Bridgeport (NJ) Motorsports Park in 2019.
“We’re due, and Gary deserves one,” Dietrich said. “It’s always a big deal when the Outlaws come to town. We’re going to do everything we can to put on a show. It’s been an up and down year for our team, but the guys keep digging. If there’s a perfect time for a season to reset, it’s this week.”
ON DECK:
Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2026 season with a World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series triple in Central Pennsylvania. The nation’s finest will visit Lincoln Speedway on Tuesday, May 5, followed by a doubleheader at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday and Saturday, May 8-9.
