Double-D concludes Volusia visit, all eyes on Lincoln’s Ice Breaker Weekend

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (February 9, 2026) - It was a tough week in the Sunshine State for “Double-D” Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing, and although the team fell short of their goals, it’s full steam ahead, already in full prep mode for the upcoming two-day Ice Breaker Weekend at Lincoln Speedway beginning February 28.
Dietrich, Central Pennsylvania’s sprint car champion in 2025, will work to sweep the two-day Pennsylvania lidlifter - the perfect send off for what proves to be another competitive year in the Keystone State.
As hinted, it was a tough outing for Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing in Florida, missing each of the World of Outlaws A-Main contests in the four-day turned three-day DIRTcar Nationals (Thursday’s event falling to Mother Nature) program.
“We’ll learn from our mistakes and move on…that’s all anyone can do,” Dietrich, driver of the Gary Kauffman owned, Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Speedway Volkswagen & Subaru, Self Made Racing, York Excavating, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, No. 48 sprint car, said. “Hats off to my guys. No matter what was thrown their way, they worked through it. Regardless of our results or bad luck, we made the best of our trip to Volusia. But for now, it’s time to get ready for Lincoln.”
