AND ANOTHER ONE: Danny Dietrich leads them all for Jack Gunn Memorial triumph; Major Labor Day slate begins Wednesday at BAPS

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (August 25, 2025) - Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing scored their 11th victory of 2025 during the recent weekend, doing so in Williams Grove Speedway’s annual Jack Gunn Memorial on Friday, August 22. The win, an $8,000 payday for the Gettysburg native, was accomplished in wire-to-wire fashion, leading every lap of the 30 lap affair with the final 20 going nonstop. The Jack Gunn Memorial victory was a third-ever for “Double-D” with his most recent occurring in 2022.
Although a great start to the weekend, Dietrich, ace of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Speedway Volkswagen & Subaru, Self Made Racing, York Excavating, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, RV 4 Wheel Drive & Performance, No. 48 sprint car, was forced to retire early in Lincoln Speedway’s annual Kramer Klash on Saturday, August 23. An incident during Dietrich’s heat race - contact after spinning to avoid an accident in front of him - bent his frame forcing him to park the “48” for the evening. Double-D will work for Lincoln redemption this Saturday and Sunday in the Labor Day Duel.
“A great start to the weekend…I wanted something similar on Saturday, but that’s not how it went,” Dietrich said. “Can’t say enough about this team. We’ve been busy, but at least we’re close to home-busy. We have a lot to be ready for this weekend. Hoping to get a few more wins for Gary [Kauffman].”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2025 campaign with a major slate over Labor Day weekend beginning Wednesday, August 27, at BAPS Motor Speedway. Action will continue Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Labor Day Monday with starts at Williams Grove Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and Port Royal Speedway in respective fashion.

Earned victory at BAPS Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 13. Finished ninth in Port Royal Speedway’s Keith Kauffman Classic on Saturday, April 26. Finished third at BAPS Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 27. Finished third during Williams Grove Speedway’s Moran Cup featuring the World of Outlaws on Saturday, May 10. Earned three consecutive top-five finishes in starts at Selinsgrove Speedway (3rd), Port Royal Speedway (3rd), and BAPS Motor Speedway (2nd) on May 16-18. Earned back-to-back top-tens with High Limit Racing; eighth at Grandview on May 20 and seventh at Port Royal Speedway on May 24. Charged from 16th to seventh at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, May 31. Finished second against All Stars at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, June 6. Won All Star main event at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, June 7. Earned Dean Knittel Memorial title at Atomic Speedway worth $26,554; claimed 2025 Ohio Sprint Speedweek title featuring All Star Circuit of Champions. Finished second in final PA Sprint Speedweek championship - won at BAPS Motor Speedway on June 29 and Williams Grove Speedway on July 4 ($20,000 Mitch Smith Memorial). Capped $200,000-to-win Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway with tenth-place finish. Finished third in Selinsgrove Speedway’s Opperman/Bogar/ Heintzelman Memorial on Sunday, July 27. Won Lou Blaney Memorial at Sharon Speedway on August 2 worth $13,000. Finished eighth in Knoxville Nationals B-Main. Swept Selinsgrove Speedway’s double features on Friday, August 15. Won Jack Gunn Memorial at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, August 22, worth $8,000.
