Dietrich highlights Labor Day Weekend with Keith Kauffman Tribute victory; Tuscarora 50 looms

September 3rd, 2019

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (September 3, 2019) – Officially reaching 14 on his 2019 win count, ‘Double-D’ Danny Dietrich found victory lane yet again during the recent weekend, this time claiming the Keith Kauffman Tribute worth $4,777 at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, August 30. A convincing triumph, to say the least, Dietrich led all 25 circuits around the Williams Grove half-mile, officially bumping his Williams Grove Speedway win count to five on the season.

In addition to his visit to Williams Grove Speedway, Dietrich made the tow to the Port Royal ‘Speed Palace’ twice during Labor Day weekend, highlighting the pair of trips with a runner-up performance during the Juniata County Fair opener on Saturday, August 31.

Not his best result of the weekend, but maybe his most impressive, Dietrich earned a top-ten performance during Port Royal Speedway’s Labor Day Classic on Monday afternoon, September 2. Choosing to go to the tail in exchange for a potential top-ten bonus, Dietrich lined-up 18th on the grid and battled his way to a top-five position. While making an attempt to reach the podium, Dietrich spun to a stop, forced to do so while trying to miss a fellow competitor battling for the exact same position. Determined to secure the bonus, Dietrich rallied tough during the final six circuits and crossed under the final checkers eighth in the running order.

“I really hope the fans enjoyed that one. Things are only going to get more exciting this weekend during the Tuscarora 50,” Danny Dietrich said, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing/Weikert’s Livestock/Sandoe’s Fruit Market/Pace Performance/Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts/Drop Of Ink Tattoo/Sweeney Cars/Self Made/No. 48 sprint car. “Hats off to this team. We continue to find ways to make speed, and we certainly need that with all of the big shows coming up in September. I’m ready to get after it.”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2019 campaign with a three-race weekend with the All Star Circuit of Champions, first joining the Series at Bedford Speedway in Bedford, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, September 5.

The weekend will conclude with Port Royal Speedway’s annual Tuscarora 50, launching officially with a $5,000 preliminary on Friday, followed by the unprecedented $52,000-to-win finale on Saturday.
